WELCOME TO DAMSEL PILOT
Flight Instructor and Designated Pilot Examiner

Why damsel?
I think it is important to remember that it is better to be on the ground wishing you were flying rather than flying and wishing you were on the ground. Having said that, I have elected to land more than one helicopter because it was much safer to be on the ground. This, of course, required me to be "rescued" by someone. In some of these circumstances, a fellow pilot had to fly to me with a mechanic and parts. You might say, I was a "Damsel in Distress".
